FAQs

What is the best way to care for my purchase?

Please be gentle with your new artwork. It may need some special care.

Original acrylic and watercolour paintings are created to be enjoyed for many years with thoughtful care. To preserve their beauty, avoid placing artwork in direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or areas of high humidity. Acrylic paintings can be gently dusted with a soft, dry cloth; do not use water or cleaning products on the surface. Watercolour paintings are more delicate and should be framed behind UV-protective glass and kept away from moisture. Handle all artwork with clean, dry hands and avoid touching the painted surface directly.

Any merchandise (other than mugs) should not be immersed in water, scrubbed or placed in a dishwasher*.

*The manufacturer of our vinyl stickers claim that they are water-resistant and hold up in the dishwasher (but we do not guarantee this).

Yes! Because each ornament is made from real wood, it may naturally react to changes in temperature or humidity in its environment. This can sometimes cause the hidden steel canister to feel snug or momentarily stuck. This is completely normal and part of working with natural materials.

If this happens, simply and gently pull the canister downward—it should release easily without affecting the ornament. No force is required, just a light, steady motion.

We believe they can—and here’s why.

Our ornaments have been thoughtfully made since 2019 using solid Canadian maple hardwood and a durable steel internal capsule. These are materials chosen for their strength, longevity, and ability to age beautifully over time with proper care.

That said, because our ornaments are still relatively young, we can’t yet prove they’ve lasted for generations—those stories are still being written. What we can confidently say is that we design and handcraft each piece with the intention of longevity.

Custom work and Commissions

I focus exclusively on animals (including pets), landscapes, and abstract artwork. While I don’t create custom human portraits, I’m happy to work with you on a personalized piece featuring a beloved animal, a favorite landscape, or an abstract design tailored to your space. I also have lived long enough to never say never…so maybe someday I will.

What are the shipping, return or exchange policies?

Merchandise: Merchandise items and ornaments may be exchanged for store credit if you are not completely satisfied within 30 days of purchase if they are undamaged and still in the original packaging. Customer must pay all shipping costs.

Sale Items: All sale items are final sales and cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Fine Art Prints and Original Paintings: All fine art prints are professionally printed on demand at the time of purchase and are not kept in stock. For this reason, fine art prints are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged.

All original paintings are one-of-a-kind works of art. For this reason, original artwork purchases are final sale and are non-refundable. I take great care in accurately representing each piece through detailed descriptions and images. I encourage you to review carefully before purchasing. Feel free to reach out with any questions — I’m happy to provide additional images or details to help you choose the perfect piece.

In the extremely rare case that your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Commission Work: Refunds are not available once work has begun, but I include you in my process and provide progress updates throughout to make sure you will love your art as much as I do!

At this time, we ship exclusively within Canada. That said, we’re actively exploring options to expand to the U.S. and international destinations. Thank you for your interest—and stay tuned!
